Contract Signing for MED-P16 between Med Marine and Haifa Marine Services

Haifa Marine Services and Med Marine signed a contract for the construction of the new state-of-the-art vessel, MED-P16 class 16,5m 21 knots Pilot Boat. It is Camarc Design of UK-based naval architects and is one of Europe's leading small craft design firms specializing in the design of seaworthy high-speed working.

Contract signing ceremony was held in Haifa, Israel at the facilities of Haifa Marine Services.

Isaac Blumenthal IPC CEO & Haifa Marine Services Chairman, Capt. Zadok Radecker CEO Haifa Marine Services, Adv. Sarit Bachar IPC Head of the Tenders Department and Muhammet Gokhan Business Development Manager, Can Cicioglu, Business Development Chief of Med Marine attended the ceremony.

The vessel will be built in Med Marine’s Eregli Shipyard in Turkey’s Zonguldak region.

Camarc Designs are described as following;

Camarc Pilot boats are well-proven in service and offer specific features unique to those required by this type of craft and pilot boarding operations. Camarc design pilot boats are used by Port Authorities and Pilotage organizations worldwide.

With these features, MED-P16 offers the opportunity to expand operational capabilities for the Haifa Marine Services when joins its fleet.

Length, Hull : 16,50 m

Breadth, hull : 4,70 m

Free Running Speed : 21 knots

Draft : 1,40 m

The Viking Mars is a brand new cruise ship, built this year (2022). While it is a relatively small ship when it comes to cruise liners, it's still an imposing vessel. It's big enough to enable them to fit a planetarium, fitness center, hair salon, a spa, and the usual shops, restaurants and cabins. We have filmed quite a few vessels coming in and out of Holyhead port now, and the Viking Cruise Line ships are, without doubt, some of the most classy and good looking vessels about. Lovely...

Nakilat’s newbuild MEGI LNG carrier Global Energy loaded a full cargo of LNG and transited the Panama Canal for the first time in late-2020. Chartered by Cheniere Marketing International, the 173,400cbm vessel is commercially and technically managed by Nakilat.
