5.Data security

  1. All information you submit to us is stored on servers within the European Union. Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the Internet is not completely secure, which is why we cannot guarantee the security of data transmitted to our website via the Internet. However, we secure our website and other systems by technical and organizational measures against loss, destruction, access, modification or distribution of your data by unauthorized persons. In particular, we transmit your personal data in encrypted form. We use the SSL (Secure Socket Layer) or TLS (Transport Layer Security) coding system.

6.No disclosure of your personal data

  1. We do not disclose your personal data to third parties unless you have consented to the disclosure of data or we are entitled or obliged to disclose data due to statutory provisions and/or official or court orders. This may involve, in particular, the disclosure of information for the purposes of criminal prosecution, the prevention of danger or the enforcement of intellectual property rights.

7.Privacy and third party websites

  1. The website may contain hyperlinks to and from third-party websites. If you follow a hyperlink to one of these websites, please note that we cannot accept any responsibility or warranty for third-party content or data protection conditions. Please make sure you are aware of the applicable data protection conditions before submitting personal data to these websites.

8.Use of functions of our website

  1. In addition to the purely informational use of our website, we offer various services that you can use if you are interested. For this purpose, you usually have to provide additional personal data, which we use to provide the respective service. If additional voluntary information is possible, this is marked accordingly.
  2. When you contact us by e-mail or via the contact form, your e-mail address and, if you so indicate, your name and telephone number will be stored by us in order to answer your questions. (Legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. b DSGVO)

9.Use of the blog functions

  1. In our blog, where we publish various posts on topics related to our activities, you can make public comments. Your comment will be published with your specified username at the post. We recommend using a pseudonym instead of your real name. You are required to provide your username and e-mail address; all other information is voluntary. If you post a comment, we will continue to store your IP address, which we will delete after [one week]. The storage is necessary for us to be able to defend ourselves against liability claims in cases of possible publication of illegal content. We need your e-mail address to contact you if a third party should object to your comment as illegal. Legal bases are Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. b and f DSGVO. Comments are not checked before publication. We reserve the right to delete comments if they are objected to by third parties as unlawful.
  2. When writing your comment, you can check our email service. This will inform you when other users leave a comment on the post. For this service we use the so-called double-opt-in procedure, i.e. you will receive an e-mail in which you must confirm that you are the owner of this e-mail address and wish to receive the notifications. You can unsubscribe from the notifications at any time by clicking on the link contained in the e-mail. Your personal data, including email address, your times of registration for the service and your IP address will be stored by us until you unsubscribe from the notice service.

10.Use of our portal

  1. If you wish to use our portal, you must register by entering your e-mail address, a password of your choice and a user name of your choice. There is no obligation to use a clear name; pseudonymous use is possible. We use the so-called double-opt-in procedure for registration, i.e. your registration is only completed when you have first confirmed your registration via a confirmation e-mail sent to you for this purpose by clicking on the link contained therein. If your confirmation is not received within [24 hours], your registration will be automatically deleted from our database. The provision of the aforementioned data is mandatory, all other information you can provide voluntarily by using our portal.
  2. If you use our portal, we store your data required for the fulfillment of the contract, including information on the method of payment, until you finally delete your access. Furthermore, we store the voluntary data you provide for the time of your use of the portal, unless you delete it beforehand. You can manage and change all information in the protected customer area. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. f DSGVO.
  3. If you use the portal, your data may become accessible to other participants of the portal according to the contractual performance. Non-registered members will not receive any information about you. For all logged-in members, your [user name and photo] are visible, regardless of whether you have released them. In contrast, your entire profile with the data you have shared is visible to all members who have confirmed you as a personal contact. If you make content available to your personal contacts that you do not send by means of a private message, this content is visible to third parties, provided that your personal contact has given the release. As far as you post contributions in public groups, these are visible for all registered members of the portal.
  4. To prevent unauthorized access by third parties to your personal data, especially financial data, the connection is encrypted using TLS technology.

11.Newsletter

  1. With your consent, you can subscribe to our newsletter, with which we inform you about our current interesting offers. The advertised goods and services are named in the consent form.
  2. For the registration to our newsletter we use the so-called double-opt-in procedure. This means that after your registration, we will send you an e-mail to the specified e-mail address in which we ask you to confirm that you wish to receive the newsletter. If you do not confirm your registration within [24 hours], your information will be blocked and automatically deleted after one month. In addition, we store your respective IP addresses used and times of registration and confirmation. The purpose of this procedure is to be able to prove your registration and, if necessary, to clarify a possible misuse of your personal data.
  3. The only mandatory data for sending the newsletter is your e-mail address. The provision of further, separately marked data is voluntary and will be used to address you personally. After your confirmation, we store your e-mail address for the purpose of sending the newsletter. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. a DSGVO.
  4. You can revoke your consent to the sending of the newsletter and unsubscribe at any time. You can declare the revocation by clicking on the link provided in every newsletter e-mail, [via this form on the website,] by e-mail to [Newsletter@example.com] or by sending a message to the contact details provided in the imprint.
  5. We would like to point out that we evaluate your user behavior when sending the newsletter. For this evaluation, the emails sent contain so-called web beacons or tracking pixels, which are single-pixel image files that are stored on our website. For the evaluations, we link the data mentioned in section 3 and the web beacons with your e-mail address and an individual ID. Links received in the newsletter also contain this ID. With the data obtained in this way, we create a user profile in order to tailor the newsletter to your individual interests. In doing so, we record when you read our newsletters, which links you click on in them and infer your personal interests from this. We link this data to actions you have taken on our website. You can object to this tracking at any time by clicking on the separate link provided in each email or by informing us via another contact channel. The information is stored for as long as you are subscribed to the newsletter. After unsubscribing, we store the data purely statistically and anonymously. Moreover, such tracking is not possible if you have deactivated the display of images by default in your e-mail program. In this case, the newsletter will not be fully displayed to you and you may not be able to use all functions. If you display the images manually, the above-mentioned tracking will take place.
  6. For the newsletter dispatch, we use the US service provider "SendGrid", Twilio Inc., a Delaware corporation, with a place of business at 101 Spear Street, 1st Floor, San Francisco, California, 94105, United States of America, We have concluded a contractual agreement with "SendGrid" for the processing of data within the meaning of Art. 28 DSGVO. The appropriate level of data protection is ensured through the use of the EU standard contractual clauses. We have carried out the assessment of data transfer to a third country - the so-called Transfer Impact Assessment (TIA) - which is to be performed in accordance with the new standard data protection clauses of the EU Commission, and due to the fact that SendGrid does not store any message content, but only data for sending e-mails, and that the storage is limited in time, we have come to the conclusion that the risk with regard to third-country processing can be considered low and that the processing is therefore permissible. In addition, we have tried various service providers from the EU for newsletter dispatch, but came to the conclusion that they do not meet the requirements for reliable dispatch of our newsletter or could not provide the necessary interfaces. In this respect, reference is also made to Article 49 (1) (b) of the GDPR as an exception for third-country processing.

12.Third-party tools

  1. Use of Google Maps
    1. On this website we use the offer of Google Maps. This allows us to show you interactive maps directly on the website and enables you to use the map function comfortably. The legal basis for the use of the maps is Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. a DSGVO, i.e. the integration only takes place after your consent. If a cookie is required for this downstream data processing, it will be set in accordance with Section 25 (1) TTDSG. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future. To do this, simply select the "Cookie settings" link and make the appropriate settings.
    2. By visiting the website, Google receives the information that you have called up the corresponding sub-page of our website. In addition, the above-mentioned basic data such as IP address and timestamp are transmitted. This occurs regardless of whether Google provides a user account through which you are logged in or whether there is no user account. If you are logged in to Google, your data will be directly assigned to your account. If you do not want the assignment with your profile at Google, you must log out before activating the button. Google stores your data as usage profiles and uses them for the purposes of advertising, market research and/or demand-oriented design of its website. Such an evaluation is carried out in particular (even for users who are not logged in) to provide needs-based advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website. You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles, whereby you must contact Google to exercise this right.
    3. The information collected is stored on Google servers, also in the USA. For these cases, the provider has, according to its own information, imposed a standard on itself that corresponds to the former EU-US Privacy Shield and has promised to comply with applicable data protection laws in the international transfer of data. We have also agreed so-called standard data protection clauses with Google, the purpose of which is to ensure compliance with an appropriate level of data protection in the third country.
    4. For more information on the purpose and scope of data collection and processing by the plug-in provider, please refer to the provider's privacy policy. There you will also find further information about your rights in this regard and setting options for protecting your privacy: www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy.
  2. Use of Google Analytics
    1. This website uses Google Analytics, a web tracking service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland ("Google"). The purpose of our use of the tool is to enable the analysis of your user interactions on websites and in apps and to improve our offer through the statistics and reports obtained and to make it more interesting for you as a user.
    2. We primarily record the interactions between you as a user of the website and our website with the help of cookies, data on the device/browser, IP addresses and website or app activities. Google Analytics also collects your IP addresses to ensure the security of the service and to provide us, as the website operator, with information about which country, region or location the respective user comes from (so-called "IP location determination"). For your protection, however, we naturally use the anonymization function ("IP masking"), i.e. that Google truncates the IP addresses by the last octet within the EU/EEA.
    3. Google acts as an order processor and we have concluded a corresponding contract with Google. The information generated by the cookie and the (usually shortened) IP addresses about your use of this website are usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and processed there. For these cases, Google has, according to its own information, imposed a standard on itself that corresponds to the former EU-US Privacy Shield and has promised to comply with applicable data protection laws in the international transfer of data. We have also agreed so-called standard contractual clauses with Google, the purpose of which is to ensure compliance with an appropriate level of data protection in the third country.
    4. The legal basis for the collection and further processing of the information (which takes place for a maximum of 14 months) is your given consent (Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. a DSGVO). Any necessary cookies will also only be set with your consent in accordance with Section 25 (1) TTDSG. The revocation of your consent is possible at any time, without affecting the permissibility of the processing until the revocation. In apps, you can reset the advertising ID under the Android or iOS settings. The easiest way to revoke your consent is via our Consent Manager or by installing the Google browser add-on, which can be accessed via the following link: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en/.
    5. For more information on the scope of services provided by Google Analytics, please visit marketingplatform.google.com/about/analytics/terms/en/. Google provides information on data processing when using Google Analytics at the following link: support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=en/. General information on data processing, which according to Google should also apply to Google Analytics, can be found in Google's privacy policy at www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/.
  3. Use of social media plug-ins
    1. We currently use the following social media plug-ins: LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook, which are only loaded if you have previously activated the function by giving your consent . Through the plug-ins, we offer you the opportunity to interact with the social networks and other users. The legal basis for the use of the plug-ins is Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. a DSGVO, i.e. the integration only takes place after your consent. If a cookie is required for this downstream data processing, it will be set in accordance with Section 25 (1) TTDSG. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future. To do this, simply select the "Cookie settings" link and make the appropriate settings.
    2. The plug-in provider stores the data collected about you as usage profiles and uses them for purposes of advertising, market research and/or demand-oriented design of its website. Such an evaluation is carried out in particular (also for users who are not logged in) for the display of tailored advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website. You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles, whereby you must contact the respective plug-in provider to exercise this right. The data transfer takes place regardless of whether you have an account with the plug-in provider and are logged in there. If you are logged in to the plug-in provider, your data collected from us will be directly assigned to your account with the plug-in provider. If you click the activated button and, for example, link to the page, the plug-in provider also saves this information in your user account and shares it publicly with your contacts. We recommend that you log out regularly after using a social network, but especially before activating the button, as this allows you to avoid an assignment to your profile with the plug-in provider.
    3. The information collected is stored on servers of the providers, in the case of international providers also outside Europe. For these cases, the provider has, according to its own information, imposed a standard on itself that corresponds to the former EU-US Privacy Shield and has promised to comply with applicable data protection laws in the international transfer of data. We have also agreed so-called standard data protection clauses with the providers, the purpose of which is to ensure compliance with an appropriate level of data protection in the third country.
    4. The revocation of your consent is possible at any time without affecting the permissibility of the processing until the revocation. The easiest way to revoke your consent is via our Consent Manager or via the functions of the social media providers.
    5. For more information on the purpose and scope of data collection and processing by the plug-in provider, please refer to the data protection declarations of these providers provided below. There you will also find further information on your rights in this regard and setting options for protecting your privacy
    6. Addresses of the respective plug-in providers and URL with their privacy notices:

    7. We would like to point out that there is currently no adequate level of data protection in the USA and there is also no adequacy decision on the part of the EU Commission. We would also like to point out that due to the CLOUD Act and other regulations (e.g. intelligence collection powers under Section 702 FISA and Executive Order 12 333), U.S. authorities can access this data and you are not entitled to the data subject rights in the U.S. as is the case within the EU.
  4. YouTube video integration
    1. We have integrated YouTube videos into our online offer, which are stored on YouTube.com and can be played directly from our website. These are all integrated in "extended data protection mode", i.e. no data about you as a user is transmitted to YouTube if you do not play the videos. Only when you play the videos, the data mentioned in paragraph 2 are transmitted. We have no influence on this data transmission. The legal basis for the display of the videos is Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. a DSGVO, i.e. the integration only takes place after your consent. We set the required cookie for playing the videos according to § 25 para. 2 no. 2 TTDSG, as this is mandatory for technical reasons.
    2. By visiting the website, YouTube receives the information that you have accessed the corresponding subpage of our website. In addition, the above-mentioned basic data such as IP address and timestamp are transmitted. This occurs regardless of whether YouTube provides a user account through which you are logged in or whether there is no user account. If you are logged in to Google, your data will be directly assigned to your account. If you do not want the assignment with your profile at YouTube, you must log out before activating the button. YouTube stores your data as usage profiles and uses them for the purposes of advertising, market research and/or demand-oriented design of its website. Such an evaluation is carried out in particular (even for users who are not logged in) to provide needs-based advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website. You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles, whereby you must contact YouTube to exercise this right.
    4. For more information on the purpose and scope of data collection and processing by YouTube, please see the privacy policy. There you will also find further information about your rights and setting options to protect your privacy: www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy.

13.Recipients or categories of recipients

  1. If we pass on your personal data to third parties, you will be explicitly informed of this in the description of the respective data processing (e.g. when using our contact form). Of course, we also use external service providers for technical and organizational processing, with whom we have concluded corresponding order processing contracts within the meaning of Art. 28 DSGVO. These are e.g. service providers for web hosting, sending emails, maintenance and care of our IT systems, etc.

14.Storage duration

  1. Your data will be stored for as long as it is absolutely necessary to achieve the respective purpose, but at the longest for as long as any statutory provisions require us to do so (e.g. under commercial law we are obliged to keep business letters, which may also include emails, for 10 years).
  2. As soon as the purpose of storage ceases to apply or a storage period prescribed by the aforementioned regulations expires, the personal data is routinely blocked or deleted.

15.Your rights

  1. You have extensive rights with regard to the processing of your personal data. First of all, you have an extensive right to information and, if necessary, you can demand the correction and/or deletion and/or blocking of your personal data. You can also request a restriction of processing and have a right to object and a right to data portability. If you would like to assert any of your rights and/or receive more detailed information about this, please contact us at [support email address].
  2. In addition, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. If you have any questions, comments or requests regarding the collection, processing and use of your personal data by us, please also contact us using the contact details provided.
  3. Right to object
    • Right to object on a case-by-case basis
You have the right to object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to the processing of personal data relating to you which is carried out on the basis of Article 6 (1) (e) or (f) DSGVO; this also applies to profiling based on these provisions. We will no longer process the personal data concerning you unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims.
    • Right to object to processing of data for direct marketing purposes
If your personal data is processed for the purpose of direct marketing, you have the right to object at any time to processing of personal data concerning you for the purpose of such marketing; this also applies to profiling insofar as it is related to such direct marketing. 16.No obligation to provide personal data

  1. We do not make the conclusion of contracts with us dependent on you providing us with personal data in advance. As a customer, you are not under any legal or contractual obligation to provide us with your personal data; however, we may only be able to provide certain services to a limited extent or not at all if you do not provide the necessary data. If this should exceptionally be the case in the context of the products and services offered by us presented above, you will be informed of this separately.
