Pilot Boat Specifications

The main purpose of the proposed new Boat is to replace the old one which has been suspended from operation due to its deteriorating condition and is due for replacement. The safety of the Pilots and crew during transfers from and to the incoming ships is paramount hence the urgent need for a replacement.

Proposed General Specifications:

  • LOA - 12 meters plate aluminium Pilot Boat (usual layout of single cabin at deck level).
  • Beam moulded - 3 -4 meters
  • Draft moulded - 1 – 1.5 meters
  • Crewing - four (4) persons
  • Captain & Pilot Chairs
  • Outboard Engines - 2 x 4-stroke 300hp Yamaha
  • Steering power hydraulic
  • Top Speed - 30 – 40 knots
  • Bridge Equipments - full set
  • Pilot boat safety appliances
  • Set for Radio Communication
