Safehaven are very pleased to have signed contracts with the Northeast Marine Pilots, Newport Rhode Island in the USA for one of our Interceptor 48 Pilot boats. This will be teh 2nd pilot boat to the US, fitted with 575hp Cummins X15 engines she will be specially built to deal with cold winter time weather, as such featuring a heated deck and hand rails along with several other custom features, she is due for delivery in 2025.

Safehaven Marine have signed contracts with the Faroe Islands Rescue Service for an Interceptor 48
‘self-righting’ S.A.R. (Search and Rescue craft.) This is the second S.A.R. Interceptor 48 we have
supplied to the Faroe Islands following ‘Sverri’ in 2013, which has worked very well in the
challenging North Atlantic seas they face off the Islands, with her crew being totally confident with
her seakeeping abilities, performance and reliability during rescue operations over the last 7 years.

Article Bermuda pilots order new launch from Gladding-Hearn

Bermuda’s Department of Marine and Port Services has returned to Gladding-Hearn Shipbuilding, Duclos Corp., for a new Chesapeake-class pilot boat. The launch will be built to Lloyd’s Register class, with delivery scheduled for early 2023. The Somerset, Mass., shipyard built a 61-foot pilot/rescue vessel for the port service in 2011.
Article Los Angeles Pilot Service Commissions Two New Pilot Boats

The Los Angeles Pilot Service ordered two customized 56′ Camarc Design pilot boats (P/B) built by Vigor Industrial at their Vancouver, WA facility, located on the northern side of the Columbia River. The LA Pilot Service took delivery of the P/B Angels Pilot and Angels Navigator at Vigor’s shipyard on Swan Island in Portland, Oregon in early October.
