Liverpool Pilot Boat Razobill

Pilot boats Petrel, Kittiwake and Razorbill officially named in the Albert Dock, Liverpool back in April 2018. Each boat was officially named. Afterwards i was allowed onboard to have a sneak peak at Petrel, which a short video is included at the end of this video.

All working vessels on the River Mersey gathered in front of the Three Graces – Liver Building, Cunard Building and the Port of Liverpool Building. The formation included pilot launch boats, RNLI Lifeboats, river tugs, Mersey Ferries and the Disney Magic cruise liner. They all blew their whistles in tribute to The Sovereign, who passed away last week. River tugs will perform Fleur De Lis – spraying water from their fire cannons. Safehaven Marine have just launched ‘Ederra 8’, she’s an 18m Interceptor 60 pilot, built for the MVD Pilots Association in Montevideo, Uruguay.
This is the third pilot boat we’ve built for their pilots, following ‘Ederra 6 and 7’, both Interceptor 48’s we delivered in 2022, which have worked very well for the pilots over the last several years. Overall she will be the 4th pilot boat we supplied to Montevideo including ‘Belgrano’ in 2020.

PILOT LAUNCH SCAPA PATHFINDER IN ACTION...4/5/2020

We have reached Port Said at the northern end of the Suez Canal. Could not have been a more enjoyable adventure. Thank you Suez Canal Authority for the two excellent pilots, specially Emad, and the support specially at Ismailia.
