Cork based Safehaven Marine is most famous for dramatic videos of its boats during stormy weather sea trials. It’s ‘Interceptor 48’ are in service taking on all types of sea conditions around the world. The newest vessel the ‘Belgrano’ will be used by pilots on the River Plate estuary Montevideo, Uruguay.

The self-righting boat is powered by two Volvo 500hp engines and is equipped with a comprehensive CCTV system. Its new features are a special bespoke fender system and high level boarding ladder. It can accommodate ten passengers and has live onboard facilities.

Safehaven Marine have been operating for the last 17 years with manufacturing and R&D facilities. Frank Kowalski is Managing Director, designer & naval architect of all Safehaven Marine vessels.

Incredibly huge container ships sea giants mega ships. Shipspotting ships observation of cargo ships, tankers, pilots, container ships, oil tankers and many more. Special highlight is the boarding of a pilot on the DFDS ferry. The pictures were taken on 18.03.2022 at the North Sea coast in Cuxhaven, Germany. Video The new Bermuda pilot boat (2011)

This is the new Bermuda pilot/SAR boat 'St. David'. Its intended to operate up to 30miles off the island in the open north Atlantic but capable of going much further. She is a Gladding Hearn built, all weather 61' aluminum hull capable of about 30kts. She replaces a 23 year old pilot boat with the same name.
