Pilot injured during embarking in Taiwan. (Video)

As the pilot climbs the ladder, the pilot boat is pushed against the vessel by a wave and the pilot's leg is trapped. Despite the injury, the pilot makes it to the vessel with the help of a crew member.



The job of a pilot is always dangerous. This scenario can always happen in rough seas.

The exact date of the accident is not known, but it may have happened recently. Pilot was boarding cargo ship on approaches to Hualien port, eastern coast of Taiwan, in a fresh weather.

We do not put videos of accidents on our website out of voyeurism. We would like to point out that the work of a pilot is always dangerous, especially when embarking and disembarking!

These incidents should be a warning. It can hit anyone out of carelessness.
