Launched in 1911, built for Pilot Morrice, ‘Cornubia’s maiden voyage was her first job - to deliver her owner and pilot to a ship off Barry Island (South Wales, UK). This film is the story of a brave and noble boat, passionately narrated by her current owner TONY WINTER.

This classic boat was restored in 2004, relaunched in 2009.

Built by Luke Powell and his working Sail Yard in Truro, Cornwall, launched in February 2020. The lines were taken from the Vincent, a Falmouth Pilot cutter built in 1852 for the Vincent family of St Mawes. Article Gladding-Hearn Delivers New Launch to Virginia Pilots

The Virginia Pilot Association has taken delivery of a Chesapeake Class MK II launch from Gladding-Hearn Shipbuilding, its ninth pilot boat built by the Somerset, Mass., shipyard since 1983.

Since the Chesapeake Class pilot boat was introduced by the Somerset, Mass., shipyard in 2003, 22 boats have been delivered to 11 pilot associations throughout the United States.
