Who am I
I am Behbood Issa Zadeh, presently serving as the Head of the Maritime School at the University of Gibraltar. I possess over 15 years of experience in the maritime sector, predominantly in maritime pilotage. Considering my expertise and awareness of the associated responsibilities, I am conducting a survey to assess sustainability thinking skills and mindsets among maritime pilots worldwide. About the Survey
Duration: Approximately 10–12 minutes.
Content: Questions address professional experiences, awareness of environmental issues, and approaches to sustainable practices in pilotage operations.
Confidentiality: All responses will remain anonymous and will be analyzed collectively for research purposes only.

Expected Outcomes
This study seeks to understand, value, and implement sustainability in pilotage practice. Using multiple viewpoints from marine pilots, the study aims to map sustainable abilities and mindsets in pilotage. Identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for training or policy alignment to enhance effectiveness. Give industry stakeholders and regulators evidence-based advice.
