On Wednesday June 23rd, AMURA - a Spanish company specialized in technology for pilots - is organizing the first international event after pandemic for Pilots.

There will be sessions dedicated to the use of technologies and the digitization of the sector and a round table with the delegates and presidents of Spain, Colombia, Mexico, Uruguay and Chile where the impact of the pandemic and the future prospects of the sector will be analyzed.

The Port of Waterford is to invest almost €1m in a new pilot boat to be named Port Láirge, which as Irish for Waterford is a name long associated with a steam-powered dredger that served Waterford for more than 70 years until the 1980s.

Article Port of Ferrol (Spain) welcomes new pilot boat

Irish boatbuilder Safehaven Marine recently handed over a new pilot boat to the Port of Ferrol in northwestern Spain. Named Punta Do Cruceiro, the vessel was designed for operation even under challenging conditions in the waters in that region of the Atlantic.
