I am Ahmed Omer Sati Mohamed AKA Capt. Sati. A marine Pilot in one of the world's busiest ports Jebel Ali Dubai, handling all types and sizes of vessels in and out of the port.
After completing my bachelor's degree in Maritime science in Egypt, I sailed in different ranks in Oil Tanker ships from 2006 to 2010. following my Master CoC, I joined SPC Sudan to work as a Pilot from 2011 to 2014.
in 2014, I joined the Ministry of Transport in Qatar to work as a Port state control officer and senior Coastal state officer responsible for all Aids to Navigation in the state.
in 2016, I returned to Pilotage from the gate of DP World's flagport Jebel Ali.

This updated video shows how easy it is to develop an arrival plan with the SAMMON Planning Tool. As a sample the arrival from appraoch until the berth to Ft. Lauderdale is used under strong current of 2kn. At the simulator training courses where we used this tool for preparation of a manoeuvring plan during the briefing sessions all nautical officers involved stated afterwards: "Why don't we have this tool on our ships?"

Here's a cool little video of 'PORT LÁIRGE', the Port of Waterford’s new pilot boat we've just launched and it was wonderful to have built another pilot boat for Ireland. She's our 15m Interceptor 48 pilot and is the 48th pilot boat we’ve supplied to ports globally. Powered by a pair of Scania D13 500hp engines she has an operational speed of over 25kts and is capable of carrying of 5 pilots and 2 crew in fine comfort.
